Fourth Annual Gingerbread House Contest
Each year, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel holds a gingerbread house competition set to various Christmas story themes. This year's gingerbread house theme is Dr. Seuss' 1966 rendition of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." These elaborately decorated, edible creations are displayed in the hotel's Park Lounge throughout the holiday season.
Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is partnering this year with Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts to give students a chance to creatively showcase their talents and win a scholarship donation to their tuition and/or supplies. Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts students are challenged to create gingerbread houses constructed and composed completely of edible materials. They will be judged in overall appearance, originality, creativity, difficulty, precision and consistency of theme. Prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors.
